Custom is not a theme with your colors

A lot of companies advertise custom websites. There is a wide gap between restyling a purchased theme and building a site around how the business actually operates.

The unglamorous layer

Recent builds in our studio have involved geo-targeted experiences, HubSpot and CRM hooks, PIM-backed catalogs, affiliate tracking, specialized processors, gated downloads, and navigation for catalogs that cannot be a megamenu screenshot. None of that shows up in a Dribbble shot. All of it shows up in whether sales and ops will use the site six months later.

How we decide the stack

WordPress, Shopify, or Next.js is not a personality test. It is a function of who edits content, how products are stored, what must talk to what, and how much JavaScript you can afford on a product page. We will recommend the boring answer if it is the right one.

If you already have a site and a list of “we wish it did X,” that list is the brief. Bring it.
